Methodologies used

The project combined literature, digital learning and citizenship education in an innovative, learner-centred way.

Students created videos, quizzes and presentations, developing reading, language, digital and social competences. Learning was linked across formal, non-formal and informal settings through mobility activities, online collaboration and author meetings. Inclusion and participation were strengthened through cooperation between majority and minority communities and students from diverse backgrounds. Learners actively shaped activities and outputs, while teachers provided continuous formative feedback. The project also involved authors, parents and educational networks.

Innovation environment

The project fostered innovation through strong cooperation between partner schools, shared digital platforms and a whole-school approach. Teachers, students and school leaders jointly planned and implemented activities, creating a positive organisational climate and a culture of collaboration. Resources were used sustainably through online cooperation, digital tools and reusable learning materials. Innovation became part of everyday school life, supporting the development of digital, language and civic competences. Cooperation with authors, parents and educational networks further enriched learning and extended the project’s impact.

Teachers’ role

Teachers acted as innovators by jointly designing creative learning activities and adapting methods to students’ needs. Through international cooperation and peer learning, they strengthened their digital, pedagogical and intercultural competences while exchanging good practices. They fostered wellbeing by creating inclusive and supportive learning environments that encouraged participation, confidence and cooperation. Teachers also mentored students in collaborative projects and digital content creation, promoting autonomy and active engagement. Their close cooperation ensured the sustainability of innovative practices.

Impact and output

The project had a strong impact on students, improving their reading comprehension and digital, language and social competences while increasing their motivation to read. Inclusive participation ensured that students from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds benefited from international cooperation and intercultural learning. The impact extended beyond the direct participants: project outputs, digital resources, author meetings and dissemination events reached other students, teachers, parents and schools. Good practice was shared through educational networks, supporting the wider adoption of innovative methods and strengthening community engagement.
