European Innovative Teaching Award – preparing for the future of education
The European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA) shows how teachers and schools are finding innovative ways of adapting to rapidly evolving and ever-changing world. These Erasmus+ projects address the challenges deriving from new technologies, media, global environmental issues, all of which are posing new challenges to education and training across Europe. They highlight innovative solutions that shall be shared and learned from at all levels of education and training.
The European Innovative Teaching Award helps achieve the objective of the European Education Area to have motivated and competent teachers and trainers who are supported to keep their skills up-to-date throughout their careers. It recognises their key role in achieving more equitable and inclusive education for all and making sure that all learners get the support they need to fulfil their educational potential. The Award also builds on the fact that today learning can happen everywhere, anywhere, anytime.
The first edition of the Award, starting this year, focuses on distance and blended learning. 104 projects from all over the EU will be granted, in 4 categories.
