European Innovative Teaching Award

The European Innovative Teaching Award 2021

The European Innovative Teaching Award was born with the aim of valuing the passion and care of teachers and students in the European education systems.

THE AWARD

Olds

In the ever-changing world of education, the European Innovative Teaching Award aims at valuing the work of teachers in the process of shaping the Europeans of tomorrow by making use of innovative, interactive, and inclusive teaching and learning practices. The European Innovative Teaching Award also recognises the contribution of the Erasmus+ programme to the European Education Area, and the importance of cooperation and networking of schools across Europe.

Each Erasmus+ programme country will be awarded, for a total of 104 projects in 4 categories:

  • early childhood education and care,
  • primary education,
  • secondary education,
  • VET schools.

The thematic area chosen for the first edition of the European Innovative Teaching Award perfectly reflects the challenges of modern times: distance and blended learning. Thanks to the new digital technologies and the huge variety of state-of-the-art learning strategies, learning can now happen both in schools and in other environments.  Despite the differences among students, the European education system is able to offer the same opportunities to everyone, allowing for inclusiveness, competence development, and collaboration.

With the European Innovative Teaching Award, the EU rewards the great work, care and passion of teachers in the European schools.
