Summary
The project focused on promoting civic education, European Union values, and participation in democratic life. Its aim was to strengthen the civic competences of staff, deepen their understanding of democracy, and foster a sense of European identity. It emphasised that meaningful participation is only possible when all stakeholders are actively involved in decision-making and in raising political and social issues. These principles are also passed on by the Centre's staff to their learners, ensuring a shared commitment to democratic engagement.
“Erasmus+ funding is crucial for the project. Without it, our staff would not be able to improve their competences in international courses, apply best practices in community mobilisation to participate in democratic life, and spread European values."

Methodologies used
The project introduces innovation by integrating multidisciplinary approaches to foster a holistic understanding of civic education and European values.
It prioritises the development of key competences- knowledge, skills, and attitudes- with a strong focus on practical application.
By bridging formal, non-formal, and informal learning, the project acknowledges and values diverse educational pathways. Emphasis is placed on inclusion, participation, and cooperation, empowering learners and strengthening community engagement.
Learners take an active role throughout, encouraged to think critically and address real-world challenges. This comprehensive approach supports the development of engaged, responsible citizens.
Innovation environment
Our Centre fosters a positive and collaborative climate, encouraging staff to experiment with and adopt innovative practices. This whole-centre approach integrates new methodologies across all activities and personnel, rather than confining innovation to isolated initiatives.
We make sustainable use of both human and material resources to maximise impact. Cross-sector cooperation with external organisations further enriches the learning experience, introducing real-world relevance and diverse perspectives.
By cultivating a supportive learning environment and leveraging partnerships with community stakeholders, the project promotes innovative teaching and expands educational opportunities for all.
Teachers’ role
Teachers play a pivotal role in driving innovation within our project. As active designers and implementers of new methodologies, they move beyond traditional instruction to create dynamic, learner-centred experiences.
Through continuous professional development, including Erasmus+ mobility activities, they acquire fresh knowledge, skills, and attitudes, which they adapt and integrate into multidisciplinary approaches that foster key competences. Acting as facilitators and mentors, teachers guide learners’ active participation and critical thinking.
Their involvement in cross-sector cooperation and the exchange of good practices further enriches the educational environment, establishing them as true enablers of innovation within our institution.
Impact and output
Through the project, we have achieved a significant impact on adult learners by fostering a stronger sense of European identity and encouraging active civic engagement.
Participants have strengthened their civic competences, developing critical thinking around societal issues and a greater willingness to participate in democratic life.
The project actively promotes the inclusion of individuals with fewer opportunities, ensuring equitable access to innovative learning experiences.
This inclusive, participatory approach generates valuable spill-over effects - benefiting other learners, educators, and local communities - by sharing best practices and inspiring broader, more engaged citizenship.
