2024 laureates disclosure

Today the European Commission revealed the 96 laureates of the 2024 European Innovative Teaching Award.

Event 1

The fourth edition of this award continues to highlight the integration of innovative practices within European education systems, with a particular focus on the wellbeing of students and educators.

Description

This year the theme is ‘Wellbeing at School,’ underscoring the importance of a holistic approach to promoting the mental and physical health of both learners and educators. This year's winning projects emphasize key topics such as:

  • Physical and mental health
  • Promotion of social and emotional competencies
  • Enhanced capacity to make healthy choices
  • Creation of supportive school and classroom environments that foster positive relationships, collaboration, learning, and personal development 

In total, 96 projects from 32 European countries have been recognized and honoured across the 4 categories:

  • Early childhood education and care - 17 projects
  • Primary education - 27 projects
  • Secondary education - 31 projects
  • Vocational education and training schools - 21 projects
