Last 16th of September 2021 Commissioner Marija Ivanova Gabriel officially launched the first edition of the European Innovative Teaching Award, underlining in her presentation the crucial role of teachers in “helping us understand the world around us, and discover who we are and who we want to become”, especially in critical times like the ones we are living today.

Simona Kustec, Minister of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia joined the event, focusing the attention on the importance of the Erasmus+ programme in the European Education Area.
The most exciting moment of the event was the announcement of the 104 awarded projects of the 2021 European Innovative Teaching Award to the public.
