Methodologies used

The project applied multidisciplinary and learner-centred approaches that combined inclusion, sustainability, digital learning and international cooperation. Teachers developed key competences through structured courses, peer learning, workshops and practical activities. Formal, non-formal and informal learning were connected through extracurricular programmes, eTwinning projects, volunteering initiatives and community events. Students actively participated in environmental campaigns, inclusive activities and collaborative projects. Digital tools such as Padlet, online surveys, virtual presentations and eTwinning were used to enhance participation, reflection and dissemination. Cooperation with local institutions and European partners enriched authentic learning experiences.

Innovation environment

The school created a supportive environment for innovation by integrating project results into curricula, extracurricular activities and school development strategies. New documents such as the International Policy 2024 and the Strategic Plan for the Inclusion of Students with Developmental Difficulties ensure sustainability. Digital resources, online publications and innovative teaching materials reduced paper use and increased accessibility. The project promoted a positive organisational culture based on collaboration, inclusion and continuous professional development. Cooperation with local institutions, NGOs, museums and European partners expanded learning opportunities and strengthened the school’s role as a centre of innovation within the community.

Teachers’ role

Teachers acted as innovators, learners and multipliers of knowledge. Through international training courses, they acquired new competences in inclusive education, sustainability, intercultural learning and project-based teaching. They shared and applied their newly acquired knowledge through workshops, staff meetings, mentoring activities and classroom practice. Teachers developed new curricula, educational materials and extracurricular programmes. They promoted student wellbeing by creating inclusive learning environments and adapting teaching methods to diverse needs. Continuous cooperation among teachers and international peer learning strengthened professional capacity and supported long-term educational innovation within the school.

Impact and output

The project had a significant impact on teachers, students and the wider community. Teachers improved their professional competences and introduced innovative and inclusive teaching methods. Students became more environmentally aware, actively participated in sustainability initiatives and developed stronger social and intercultural skills. Students with developmental difficulties were more successfully included in school life and activities with their peers. Key outputs include the board game “Sustainable Development Goals”, the brochure “Think About Nature”, new curricula, the Strategic Plan for Inclusion, the International Policy 2024 and five extracurricular programmes. The project also contributed to obtaining Erasmus Accreditation and the eTwinning Quality Label.
