Summary
FaR&Com deserves to receive an EITA because it has developed innovative teaching methods and practices using audio-visual approaches that match the learning preferences of modern students. The project improves students’ basic skills in reading comprehension, information analysis, concentration, memory, and speed of learning through balanced cognitive training, thereby strengthening key “skills for life”. FaR&Com has also strengthened teachers’ capacity and enhanced their qualifications, equipping them with modern pedagogical tools to support students’ personal and academic development more effectively.
"Being part of this Erasmus+ project has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career as a teacher. I learned many new methods that I now use in my everyday teaching practice."

Methodologies used
FaR&Com applies a multidisciplinary approach by combining pedagogy, cognitive science, psychology and digital learning to improve reading comprehension and cognitive development. The project focuses on the development of key competence by integrating knowledge, skills and attitudes through structured activities supported by continuous formative assessment that tracks progress and guides individual improvement. It links formal, non-formal and informal learning by extending practice beyond the classroom through home activities and parental involvement. The methodology promotes inclusion, participation and cooperation by engaging students, teachers and families in a shared learning process. Learners play an active role, participating in interactive, game-based tasks that develop concentration, memory and speed of learning while encouraging responsibility for their own progress.
Innovation environment
FaR&Com creates an innovation-friendly learning environment by integrating a mobile application, digital and audiovisual learning resources, and innovative methodologies into everyday classroom practice. The project promotes a whole-school approach by engaging teachers, school leaders and learners in collaborative, learner-centred education. It fosters a positive organisational climate through international cooperation, professional exchange and shared teaching practices. By providing freely accessible resources and transferable methodologies, FaR&Com ensures the sustainable use of project outcomes and strengthens cross-sectoral collaboration, supporting inclusive, motivating and future-oriented learning.
Teachers’ role
Teachers and trainers were key innovators in FaR&Com, actively co-creating, testing and refining the project’s methodologies, mobile app and learning resources. Their classroom experience shaped practical, evidence-based teaching approaches adapted for diverse learners. By developing 50 additional cognitive learning activities and validating the methodologies in real educational settings, they created open, transferable resources that can be readily adopted and adapted by teachers worldwide. Their work strengthens professional collaboration, inspires further pedagogical innovation and provides a sustainable foundation for future educational initiatives beyond the project.
Impact and output
The innovative teaching and learning processes in FaR&Com have a direct impact on students and teachers by improving literacy, cognitive skills, digital competence and learner engagement. Participants with fewer opportunities benefit from inclusive, adaptable and motivating learning activities that support individual progress and confidence. The project creates a spill-over effect by transferring methodologies, digital tools and good practices to other teachers, classrooms and organisations. This leads to wider institutional adoption, stronger collaboration among educators and increased involvement of parents and local communities in supporting learning and inclusion.
